What exactly have you stumbled upon? A website? A blog? A gallery? I prefer to think of it as a story. When I settled on the Instagram handle “adventurelikeagirl” years ago, I never quite expected it to morph into what it has become today. But it has become the story of who I am: backpacker, fat adventurer, best friend to an elderly standard poodle, full-time RV’er, travel nurse.
Through sharing my story, I hope that I can offer encouragement and insight into adventure culture and lifestyle for women, especially single women and ESPECIALLY fat women, who are interested in but hesitant or afraid to pursue a lifestyle that’s a little outside the box and a whole lot of an Adventure, like a girl.
